Our Mission
The Sedona Pride Association's mission is to promote friendship and community for the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Trans-gendered men and women of Sedona, the Verde Valley, and Greater Northern Arizona, and to provide them with a safe and supportive environments for open self expression.
OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES
- The primary purpose of the Corporation is to educate the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender (LGBT) community and general public about the history, courage, diversity, and future of the Sedona and the Verde Valley LGBT community; to increase world awareness of the LGBT community to eliminate homophobia, transphobia and discrimination; and is organized to transact any lawful business within the State of Arizona consistent with the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
- In addition, the Corporation is organized exclusively to establish education within and without the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered community within the meaning and scope of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, including for such purpose the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or corresponding provisions of any future United States Internal Revenue Laws).
- This is to affirm that the Corporation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, marital or family status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law in employment, governance, operation and/ or staffing and is also dedicated to supporting the efforts by others to eliminate discrimination.
